Plan Your Visit

Whether you’re starting to explore what it means to follow Jesus, looking for a new church home, or in town visiting family and friends, you are welcome here!

We know that visiting a church for the first time can be confusing, even intimidating. We want your first experience at Christ Lutheran to be easy. Here’s some helpful information about on visiting for the first time.

When Do You Meet?

We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 8:00a.m. (organ-led with traditional hymns and liturgy and 10:30a.m.) (band-led with today’s praise songs). Plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can park, say hello, and find a seat. After the service, join us on the plaza for some coffee, treats and fellowship. Be sure to also visit our Guest Center on the plaza where we can get to know you a little, answer any questions you might have and express our thanks for your visit.

What Should I Expect?

Expect to hear God speak through His Word the Bible, in praise and worship, prayer, and teaching, and as He brings us His love and grace in the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Usually, our service lasts about 60 minutes. Reading through Our Beliefs will also help you understand who we are and what you can expect when you visit.

What Should I Wear?

At Christ Lutheran, the focus is on Christ. Come as you are. Typically at our more traditional 8:00a.m. service we have some folks who like to dress up a bit, but come as you are. For our more contemporary 10:30a.m. service, most people go with casual gear, but come as you are.

What About The Kids?

Your kids are welcome in worship – in fact, we encourage it. We do know they can get a little wiggly sometimes, so we have the Wiggly Worship Zone in the church with books and activities that can help keep them occupied. We also have a supervised nursery in the back of the church with toys and play area in case you want to use that. Sunday School class for kids is offered at 9:20a.m. During the sermon at our 10:30a.m. service, the kids can head over to Kids’ Church for a special message just for them. After the sermon they rejoin you in the church.
