We are guided by “the Great Commission” in Matthew 28:18-20:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

We believe God created us to work together for the sake of the Gospel and to love our neighbors.

We live this out individually through our daily lives in our vocations and collectively through our local and global ministry partners. This is where we live out our value of "acting locally, impacting globally".

3 guiding missions values

God is the author of missions. God invites us into His mission to participate with Him. He has given us a responsibility to live out the Great Commission in our lives.

In our “going”, as we make disciples of all nations, we walk together. God created the Church for His Mission, and He does the work in and through us, together.

Our motivation comes from the faith we receive in and through God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We boldly claim that we are sinners in need of Jesus and that He is the only hope for the world.

This leads them to build a relationship with Jesus Christ & multiply impact as kids sharing their faith at home, with their friends, and becoming young leaders raised up to repeat the cycle!"

Annually we pack nutritious meals on campus that are shipped to Ecuador. This OneMeal Packing Event welcomes all ages to serve!

Missions trip to Belize.

In July 2023 we will partner with a local village church, leaders and medical staff, we assist with medical services, lead kids' bible programs to share the Gospel and serve alongside the church to support additional ministry opportunities.

English is the “official” language of Belize, but many of the people we serve speak Spanish and therefore, we will use translators when needed. If you’ve served with WGO in Honduras, you would notice some similarities and some variations to our activities while in Belize. Team members will still use the unique opportunities that the Lord provides in order to share the Gospel with Belizeans.

All Christians are called to share the Gospel in their context daily. Career missionaries serve to advance the Gospel in a different cultural context than their own. If you're considering full-time ministry as a missionary, pray an ask God for His direction.

The Gospel in various cultural contexts.

Christ Lutheran supports and actively partners with two missionaries, sent out from our Costa Mesa campus. We invite you to encourage and support them as they faithfully serve to advance the Gospel in their contexts.

Christ Lutheran supports and actively partners with 19 ministries and organizations.

Each one uniquely contributes to the spiritual and physical needs locally and globally. We encourage you to explore their mission and consider how you can join in their mission efforts. Throughout the year, we provide intentional opportunities for you to serve, donate or give to support their ongoing work.

Opportunities for you to love your neighbor through our partnerships vary throughout the year.

Our volunteer hub posts ongoing and one-time projects for you to act locally and impact globally.
