missions

We are guided by “the Great Commission” in Matthew 28:18-20:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

We believe God created us to work together for the sake of the Gospel and to love our neighbors.

We live this out individually through our daily lives in our vocations and collectively through our local and global ministry partners. This is where we live out our value of "acting locally, impacting globally".

3 guiding missions values

OWNERSHIP
God is the author of missions. God invites us into His mission to participate with Him. He has given us a responsibility to live out the Great Commission in our lives.

COLLABORATION
In our “going”, as we make disciples of all nations, we walk together. God created the Church for His Mission, and He does the work in and through us, together.

GOSPEL-DRIVEN
Our motivation comes from the faith we receive in and through God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We boldly claim that we are sinners in need of Jesus and that He is the only hope for the world.

WORLD GOSPEL OUTREACH
Missions trip to Honduras 2024 and to Belize 2023

In June 2024, we will partner with two local churches through WGO in rural Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This is our 15th trip to Honduras and 16th trip in total with WGO to serve the poorest of poor. We share the Gospel with everyone we meet while providing basic physical health services and medicines, dental work, optical work and glasses, construction projects and water filters. We also interact with the kids by telling them the Gospel, playing and singing with them, washing their hair and treating with lice shampoo, if needed.

Last year in July 2023, the team of 12 people went to Belize for the first time also through WGO. We were able to serve at a local church, including evangelism, all of the medical areas and the kids. We also spent one day bringing physical health services and the Gospel to 9 shut ins connected to the church.
Please pray for the team and consider making a monetary donation earmarked “Honduras Mission Trip” to help cover the approximate $9,000 needed for all of the supplies that we will be bringing. If you want to know more or for any questions, please contact Terry Walls by email at [email protected]

Missionaries
All Christians are called to share the Gospel in their context daily. Career missionaries serve to advance the Gospel in a different cultural context than their own. If you're considering full-time ministry as a missionary, pray an ask God for His direction.
